Well, when it comes to DeviantArt... i've been around it for a long time actually. I guess i first started looking into DA when i was scouting for Pokemon Fanart back in.... good god 2004 or 05??
that takes me back! Being at the time i was using the internet to scout for any dragon/Transformer/pokemon fanart as i was a fanatic. The pic that i can recall vividly that drew me to DA was this beauty~

It was a true inspiration to see so many styles and methods it was staggering! From then on it was my main hub for art scouting.
But for the longest time that was ALL i did was art scout and just look. It wasn't until Aug.15 2010 that i actually decided to make an account and another month still that i actually uploaded something--->.
Did not take long to totally go scanner nuts and become a full tilt DA greenhorn, spamming the internet with my work and so began my DA journey.I enjoyed the easy access to so much art and to see how others do their thing... by looking at what other artists did i could easily see where mine could use much needed improvement and soon found myself trying new things.

DA has helped me out a lot in terms of my art techniques. But the most important thing about joining DA was the ability to not just look at art, i had the open ability to actually speak with the artists and really learn something! In doing so, i can honestly say i have met some of the best people in the world and am happy to say that DA has given me some pretty awesome friends
Is the one who showed lil ol' me how to use the : icon plz : features of DA as well as was the first friend i met here on DA and I can honestly say she really helped urge me to get better. Without her i would have likely been very slow off the bat and for a long time coming. I'm happy to have met her not just for her help, kind words and friendship, but was also amazed by her work, which inspired me to try harder on DA~ Thanks Marg! <da:thumb id="438961819"/>
has to be one of the best people i have ever met through DA (and a common taste in FMA's Greed
) . Talk about broadening the spectrum! In addition to her style in drawing, she has quite the hand in writing, which got me to try my hand and dabble in the writing aspect more (as well as got me into RP bigger than heck) her tastes vary greatly, and honestly if it weren't for her i'd still be looking at everything through an empty TP core. She got me into everything from Predator to DC comics and even back into a few things i'd basically forgotten about. Ah... there are quite the handful of people i could mention in full detail that i have met here, but alas, that would take hours

yet another friend i met through DA, and one that reminds me just how fast people can progress! To sum everything up as a whole, DA has helped me broaden my views, interests, style and most importantly social abilities. DA has played quite the roll in my life thusfar, and for that i thank everyone who works to keep it going, the people i have met, even for brief periods good or bad and just the overall fun of everything. It gives me laughs, frustrations, epic and wth moments and is something that i will very likely have in my life for a long time to come
